There was just something cool about Skye from the moment I met him.
And then he pulled a Bible and a skateboard out of his sweet old-school VW Bug, and suddenly it all made sense.
This guy had personality.
A Downtown Jacksonville Senior Session With Personality
One of my favorite things about photographing senior sessions is getting to learn a little about who each person is.
Senior photos don’t have to be about showing up, standing in a few pretty places, and awkwardly wondering what to do with your hands.
The best sessions include the things that make you… you.
For Skye, that meant his skateboard, his unique style, and plenty of personality.
Of course, I had to make him show me some of his rad skateboard tricks, and we captured some seriously fun photos along the way.
Exploring Downtown Jacksonville, Oregon
Downtown Jacksonville is such a fun location for senior photography because there are so many different textures and backdrops within walking distance.
We wandered around town and took advantage of the old buildings, storefronts, and all the little details that give Jacksonville so much character.
The historic downtown area gave us plenty of variety while keeping the session relaxed and easy.
And Skye absolutely fit right into the vibe.

Skye wore an amazing button-up covered in watermelons.
And honestly? It was perfect.
Your senior photos are one of the few times you get to document this exact version of yourself before heading into whatever comes next. So I love when seniors wear something that actually reflects their personality instead of choosing an outfit they think they’re supposed to wear.
Between the watermelon shirt and the skateboard with its cool graphics, Skye’s session had personality everywhere.
And that’s exactly what made it awesome.
