Some weddings are extra special because of the people involved, and Jessica & Ryan’s Mt. Shasta micro wedding was definitely one of those.

Jessica and I have been friends since third grade. She was one of my very first friends when my family moved to Siskiyou County, and she is truly one of a kind.

Her heart, her soul, the way she loves people — there is just nobody else like her. Jessica has a way of making people feel instantly comfortable and cared for. She captures your heart almost immediately.

And Ryan is the perfect guy for her.

These two are just rad people, and I am so incredibly blessed to call them my friends.

An Intimate Mt. Shasta Micro Wedding

I was beyond honored that they asked me to photograph their intimate, elopement-style wedding ceremony with their family on a property that Ryan actually grew up on in Mt. Shasta, California.

How cool is that?

There was something incredibly meaningful about getting married surrounded by family on a piece of land that already held so much history for Ryan. It made their wedding day feel deeply personal and completely them.

And of course, because these two are awesome, there were vintage cars involved.

Let me just say: vintage cars and weddings go together SO perfectly.

They added such a cool, timeless element to their portraits and were the perfect fit for this laid-back, intimate celebration.

With the beautiful mountain scenery, the pond, the family gathered around them, and the history woven into the property itself, this Mt. Shasta wedding was one I won’t soon forget.

It was an epic day for an epic couple.
