One of my absolute favorite things about being a Southern Oregon maternity photographer is getting to photograph people through different chapters of their lives.

Arlisa and Ty are some of my favorite people to photograph. I mean… look at them.

But beyond being ridiculously photogenic, they’re also two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.

I originally photographed their wedding, and getting the chance to photograph them again as they prepared to become parents felt incredibly special.

There is something so wonderful about watching past wedding clients grow their families and getting to document another important chapter of their story.

From Wedding Photos to Maternity Photos

Arlisa and Ty’s journey from wedding clients to maternity clients is one of those full-circle moments that makes me love what I do.

I got to photograph the beginning of their marriage, and now here they were, preparing to welcome a brand-new little person into their lives.

This kiddo seriously won the parent lottery.

These two are so sweet together, and there is absolutely no doubt that their little one is going to be surrounded by a whole lot of love.

A Winter Maternity Session on Their Family Property

For their maternity photos, we photographed on their family property.

And it was the perfect setting.

We had a beautiful barn, open fields, and plenty of space to create a variety of images while keeping the session personal to their lives.

I always love when a location has meaning for the people being photographed. Years from now, these photos won’t just show what this season of life looked like—they’ll also hold memories of a place that was part of their family’s story.

Arlisa’s Beautiful Maternity Style

Arlisa always has amazing style, and her maternity session was no exception.

She wore a beautiful deep green, fitted, floor-length skirt paired with a simple black long-sleeved top.

The combination felt elegant and timeless while still fitting perfectly with the natural ranch setting.

As the sun began to set, the warm, glowing light and Arlisa’s soft waves came together beautifully.

Everything about the evening had such a warm and peaceful feeling.

Of Course, the Pup Joined Us Too

And because I always love when clients include the important members of their family, we had to get a few photos with their sweet pup too.

I think including your dog during maternity or family photos can add such a personal touch.

Your family is already your family—even before the newest member arrives.
