Lisa + Earnest are such a sweet pair!

The way Earnest looks at Lisa is just the sweetest, and it was such a joy getting to photograph these two on their wedding day.

Their summer wedding at McCloud Guest House in Northern California was elegant, romantic, and filled with so many beautiful little details.

The purple color palette for the wedding party was absolutely fantastic. It added such a rich, romantic feel to the day and looked beautiful against the natural Northern California surroundings.

And Lisa…

WOW.

She looked absolutely stunning in her lace wedding dress. And then there were those sparkly high heels!

I mean, a girl can never go wrong with a little sparkle. ✨

Her long veil was also made for wedding portraits. Long veils are one of my favorite bridal details to photograph because they add so much movement and drama to portraits—especially when you have a little breeze to work with.

Saying “I Do” With a View of Mt. Shasta

Lisa and Earnest exchanged their vows outside, facing Mt. Shasta, beneath a beautiful floral arbor in the grass with their closest friends and family surrounding them.

Talk about a ceremony backdrop!

There’s something pretty incredible about getting married surrounded by the people you love with one of Northern California’s most iconic landscapes in the background.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered on the big front porch to celebrate.

There was laughter, delicious food, dancing, and cake—and their cake was seriously unique!

It was one of those receptions where you could tell everyone was genuinely having a great time celebrating Lisa and Earnest.

And that’s what I love about weddings.

Yes, I love the gorgeous dresses, beautiful flowers, incredible venues, and all the little details. But the moments that stick with me are always the ones where you can see how much two people love each other.

The happy chaos of everyone celebrating together.

Those are the memories that make a wedding day so special.
