Heidi + Matt showed up to their engagement session looking SO cute, and they brought along something pretty special—a classic car that belonged to Heidi’s grandfather.
Needless to say, I was pretty excited about that. 😍
There’s just something extra cool about incorporating a meaningful family heirloom into your engagement photos. The car wasn’t simply a fun prop; it was a little piece of family history that made their photographs even more personal.
For their session, Heidi and Matt chose McKee Bridge in Applegate, Oregon, and it was such a perfect location for these two.
The historic covered bridge, river, surrounding woods, and beautiful natural scenery gave us tons of variety without having to travel all over the place.
We photographed on the bridge, wandered through the woods, spent some time along the river, and of course got plenty of photographs with that gorgeous classic car.
And I can’t forget the ring photos!
We tucked Heidi’s engagement ring among pinecones and dried leaves for a few nature-inspired detail shots. I love using little pieces of the surrounding landscape to photograph rings and other details rather than making everything feel overly staged.
But my favorite part of this session was simply watching these two together.
Their young love was so sweet and genuine. There were plenty of smiles, cuddles, and those little moments of connection that make engagement sessions so much fun to photograph.
McKee Bridge turned out to be the perfect backdrop for their story—part historic Oregon, part forest adventure, part river session, and a whole lot of young love.
Congratulations to Heidi + Matt on your engagement! I’m so happy I got to capture this exciting season for you two. ❤️
