Historic downtown Jacksonville is such a fun spot for senior portraits, especially if you love a little more character and texture in your photos. This charming little Southern Oregon town is packed with old brick buildings, historic architecture, interesting textures, and all kinds of little corners that make for unique backdrops.
And Kiana? She was made for the camera! Seriously. She made my job ridiculously easy and looked amazing in every setting we found.
Her outfits were also SO good for a downtown session. The colors and styles worked beautifully with the brick, warm tones, and historic feel of Jacksonville without blending into the background. I’m always a fan of outfits that complement the location while still letting the senior be the star of the photos—and Kiana nailed it.
And, of course, she brought her pup along! 🐾
You already know how I feel about dogs joining photo sessions. Pets are family! I love when seniors include their dogs because it adds another little piece of their personality and everyday life to the photos. Plus, let’s be honest, I’m never going to complain about having a cute dog show up to a session.
We had such a fun time wandering around downtown Jacksonville, finding pretty light, cool walls, brick buildings, and all those little details that give a portrait session some personality. I love that senior photos don’t have to look like everyone else’s. Choosing a location that actually fits your style can make such a difference.
Kiana’s session was the perfect combination of historic Southern Oregon charm, great outfits, a gorgeous senior, and one adorable pup.
Congratulations on your senior year, Kiana! I hope this next chapter is full of exciting adventures, big dreams, and lots of reasons to celebrate. 🤍
