I am SUCH a sucker for that last little bit of evening light — you know, those few magical minutes before the sun disappears behind the hillside and everything gets soft and glowy with a beautiful sunset. That was exactly the kind of evening Tiana and I had for her Siskiyou County portrait session.
We wandered around looking for dreamy photography locations, chasing that beautiful late-evening light and stopping whenever we found a spot that felt just right. And Tiana made for the most beautiful subject.
But honestly, it was her personality that made this session so much fun.
I absolutely adore people who are full of joy and laughter — the kind of people whose happiness is completely contagious. Tiana is exactly that. She is a happy, giggly human and I just adore her.

Tiana showed up with her adorable fedora, and OH MY GOODNESS, that hat was made for her. It was so photogenic and added the perfect little something to her portraits.
And because Tiana is a photographer too, we had to get some photos of her with her camera!
There’s something extra fun about photographing another creative person. I love capturing people doing the things they love, and getting to incorporate her camera into the session made the photos feel even more personal to her.
We spent the evening wandering, laughing, exploring, and soaking up that gorgeous last bit of sunlight.
Sessions like this are why I love portrait photography so much. It’s not just about finding a pretty location or getting beautiful light. It’s about capturing the person — their energy, their quirks, their joy, and all those little things that make them them.
And Tiana? She brought SO much of that joy with her.
What a beautiful evening with a beautiful human. ❤️
