Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens classy Fall wedding Northern Ca

Matt + Molly are those genuine people everyone wants in their life.

They were absolutely lovely to work with from beginning to end, and I knew their wedding day was going to be something special.

Their ceremony was an intimate little gathering at the Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens in Northern California, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens and their closest family and friends.

And it couldn’t have been a prettier autumn day.

An Intimate Autumn Wedding

Every detail of Molly + Matt’s wedding was thoughtful and beautiful.

Molly was an absolutely STUNNING bride.

Her dress was gorgeous, her hair and makeup were perfect, and then…

Her shoes.

I also loved how they incorporated fern leaves throughout the wedding decor. The ferns felt right at home in the woodsy botanical garden setting and added such a beautiful natural element to the day.

And one of my favorite little moments happened before the ceremony.

Their daughter twirled around in front of Mom’s wedding dress hanging up, creating the sweetest little photograph.

Those are the kinds of moments I love finding throughout a wedding day. They aren’t necessarily something you plan or put on the timeline—they just happen.

And they’re often the photographs you’ll treasure most.

Sunset Portraits in McCloud

After the ceremony, we headed over to McCloud for newlywed portraits.

The timing couldn’t have been better.

The sun was getting lower, the light was soft and golden, and these two absolutely rocked their portraits.

They were so comfortable together and so easy to photograph. We wandered around, snuggled, laughed, and soaked up those first newlywed moments together while the evening light did its thing.

And it was gorgeous.

Their reception followed at Harvest McCloud, and it was exactly what fit them best—simple, intimate, delicious, and filled with people who genuinely love them.

Why I Love Intimate Weddings

I really dig smaller weddings like this.

There’s something about having a tight-knit group of family and friends together that makes a wedding feel less like a huge production and more like a gathering of people who have known and loved each other forever.

Everyone is connected.

Everyone is invested.

Everyone is genuinely there to celebrate the couple.

And I LOVE that.
