These two are just adorable!

I love how excited they are for this next chapter and their new life together. Their love is incredibly sweet, and it was so much fun getting to capture this season of their relationship.

For their Medford engagement session, we headed to a beautiful Southern Oregon pear orchard—and fall is such a gorgeous time to photograph among the trees.

There’s something pretty magical about walking through an orchard when the pears are still hanging from the branches. The combination of the fruit, warm autumn colors, and soft seasonal light makes such a beautiful backdrop for engagement portraits.

Formal to Casual

We started their session in their formal outfits, and WOW.

These two looked incredibly classy and elegant. Their outfits gave the first half of the session a more polished, romantic feel and fit beautifully among the pear trees.

And then we switched things up!

They changed into more casual outfits and we wandered over toward the tall, dry grasses for a completely different look. I love doing outfit changes during engagement sessions because it gives couples a chance to create a variety of photographs without needing a completely different location.

And of course, we had to get some photographs of that gorgeous engagement ring!

It’s always fun to photograph the little details that tell the story of this season—the ring, the outfits, the location, and most importantly, the two people who are about to start a whole new chapter together.

These two were such a joy to photograph, and I’m especially excited because I get to follow them along on their journey from engagement to wedding day.

There is something really special about getting to know a couple during their engagement session and then being there to photograph them when they officially become husband and wife.
