Sweet and romantic engagement photography with Mt. Shasta views
Razan + James made a quick trip from the Bay Area through Southern Oregon and Northern California, and I was SO happy when they reached out about doing their engagement session along the way!
We couldn’t have asked for a better evening.
The weather was beautiful, the light was dreamy, and Mt. Shasta decided to make a little appearance just for us. For most of the session, clouds covered the mountain, but eventually they parted just enough for the very tip of Mt. Shasta to peek through.
And honestly? It was perfect.
Sometimes you don’t need the entire mountain in the frame. A little glimpse can be pretty magical. 😉
The Perfect Engagement Session Outfits
Razan and James also absolutely nailed their wardrobe choices for this scenic mountain location in Siskiyou County.
They chose neutral colors and pieces that complemented each other without being overly busy or too matchy-matchy. The result looked timeless and allowed the incredible landscape to remain part of the story without competing with them.
I’m a big believer that your outfits can make a huge difference in your photographs. You don’t need to dress identically, but choosing colors, textures, and styles that work with your location can really elevate your images.
And these two got it exactly right.
A Sweet Connection
Once we started photographing, it was obvious how naturally Razan and James connect with each other.
They snuggled together on a blanket, giggled as they embraced, and settled into those quiet little moments that make engagement photographs feel romantic without feeling overly posed.
They were also just an absolute joy to spend time with.
Their kindness and happiness were contagious, and I left the session thinking, Yep. These are my kind of people.
I just adore rad people, and Razan and James were pretty dang wonderful.
I’m so happy for these two as they head into their next adventure together and begin joining their lives. I hope there are many more beautiful mountain views, road trips, and adventures ahead for them.
