I absolutely adore when my wedding clients come back to me with the new tiny humans they’ve added to their family.
Holly + Jerod are some of my favorite clients ever. Sometimes you meet people who just leave a mark on you, and these two are definitely those people. So when we started planning their family session years after I photographed their wedding, I was pretty dang excited.
And then they brought the cutest little addition along.
We headed up into the woods on Mt. Ashland for an adventure-filled family session, and what a GORGEOUS place to make some memories.
The towering trees, mountain scenery, beautiful light, and peaceful feeling of being tucked away in the forest made the perfect backdrop for this season of their lives. But as beautiful as the location was, my favorite part was simply seeing this sweet family together.
There is something really special about photographing families as they grow. I knew Holly + Jerod as a couple, photographed such an important chapter in their story, and now I get to document them as parents. Getting to watch that evolution through my camera is one of the things I love most about this job.
We explored, snuggled, played, and let their little one do what little ones do best — be curious and soak up the adventure.
These are the sessions I love. Not just pretty pictures, but photographs that tell the story of your family exactly as you are right now.
And Mt. Ashland? It was the perfect place for their Southern Oregon family adventure.
If you’ve followed my work for a while, you may recognize Holly + Jerod from their beautiful winter elopement. I photographed these two back when it was just the two of them, surrounded by snow on Mt. Ashland.
Now look at them. ❤️

And if you’re dreaming of your own family photography session in Ashland or Mt. Ashland, I’d love to explore the mountains with you and document whatever season of life you’re in.
