What a beautiful, unforgettable wedding day this was.

Karlee and Casey traveled from out of the area to get married in McCloud, California, surrounded by their favorite people, and I was so honored to be there to document it.

Both Karlee and Casey are deaf/hard of hearing, so their ceremony was conducted entirely in American Sign Language and was completely silent. And honestly? It was SO beautiful.

There was something incredibly moving about watching them communicate their vows and promises to each other through sign language. Without spoken words, every expression, movement, and gesture felt even more intentional. It was such a meaningful ceremony, and I feel very lucky that I got to witness and photograph it.

And then there was Karlee’s veil.

Holy. Smokes.

I have never seen anything quite like it! It was absolutely incredible and made such a statement in photos. Her whole bridal look was stunning, but that veil? Come on. 🤩

After the ceremony, we wandered around McCloud looking for all kinds of fun spots for their newlywed portraits. I love exploring a town with a couple and finding those little unexpected backdrops that give their gallery variety and personality. McCloud has so much charm, with historic buildings, beautiful textures, and gorgeous natural scenery all around.

And their reception? The decor was INCREDIBLE. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and the whole celebration felt beautiful, warm, and personal. It was obvious how much love and care went into creating a day that felt special for them and for the people they had traveled to celebrate with.

But the adventure wasn’t over yet.

The next morning, we met up again and headed to McCloud Falls for some dreamy newlywed portraits. And I am OBSESSED with how these turned out.

The waterfalls and surrounding forest were such a gorgeous backdrop, and naturally, we couldn’t resist getting these two into the water.

They were completely willing to embrace the adventure, and I’m so glad they did. Those photos of them playing around in the water are some of my absolute favorites. There is something so fun about taking wedding portraits outside the traditional wedding-day setting and letting a couple get a little adventurous together.

Karlee and Casey were so much fun to photograph, and I loved getting to see the different sides of their relationship throughout the weekend, the emotion of their ceremony, the celebration with their favorite people, the quiet newlywed moments, and then the playful adventure at the falls.

It felt like such a complete little story.

This was truly such a lovely day to be a part of, and it’s one of those weddings I know I’ll remember for a very long time.
