Ava is such a beauty! And getting to photograph her over the years has been such a joy. She’s graduating High School this year and that feels impossible!

I first met Ava when she was just a little babe during family sessions, and it has been so special getting to watch her grow through the years. There is something really amazing about seeing kids you’ve photographed over and over again become confident, creative, and beautiful young adults.

And Ava has absolutely blossomed.

She has always been such a doll to work with, fun, open to ideas, and totally willing to get creative. She also happens to love having her photo taken, which always makes my photographer heart very happy.

For her senior session, we explored downtown Ashland, using all the fun storefronts, historic textures, and colorful little corners throughout the city. Ashland is such a great place for portraits because there is so much personality packed into the streets. Every block has a different feel, and we can create a whole variety of looks without traveling far.

And of course…

Her outfits were spot on.

Ava has such a fun sense of style, and I loved the looks she brought for her session. Her denim striped overalls were such a cool, playful choice and fit her personality perfectly. She has that effortless ability to put together outfits that feel stylish while still feeling like her.

That’s one of my favorite parts of senior sessions—the chance to capture all the different sides of someone. A little confidence, a little creativity, a little fun, and all the things that make them unique during this season of life.

Ava made it easy.

She laughed, played with different poses, and trusted me to create something fun and authentic. Watching her step in front of the camera with so much confidence was such a cool reminder of how much she has grown.

From the little girl I photographed years ago to the amazing young woman standing in front of my camera now, it has been an absolute pleasure.

Ava, thank you for letting me be part of so many chapters of your story. I’ve loved watching you grow, and I’m so excited for all the adventures ahead.
