This maternity session was such a beautiful mix of love, connection, and a little bit of edge. 🤍

When Emily and Sterling chose Emigrant Lake in Ashland for their maternity session, it was the perfect setting to celebrate this exciting season of their lives. The warm evening light, peaceful water, and mountain backdrop created such a dreamy atmosphere for these two.

And can we talk about their style?

SO good.

Emily and Sterling both brought their own unique vibe to the session, with their tattoos adding such a cool, personal element to their images. I love when couples aren’t afraid to let their personalities shine through. Maternity photos don’t have to fit into one specific style—they can be romantic, adventurous, edgy, playful, or anything that feels authentic to the couple.

Emily looked absolutely stunning in her beautiful, flowy dress, and we captured a mix of portraits, including some intimate bare belly maternity images celebrating this incredible season of growing their family.

The sweetest moments were the ones in between, the way Sterling looked at Emily, his hand on her belly, and those quiet moments of connection. He gave her belly sweet kisses, and you could truly feel how excited they both were to meet their little one.

They also brought along their sonogram photos, which was such a meaningful detail to include. I love incorporating little pieces of the story behind the photos, the tiny reminders that this baby was already so loved before they even arrived.

And because these two were totally up for an adventure…

They ended their session by getting into the water!
