This proposal was SO much fun to be a part of! 🥹

Adam reached out with a plan to surprise Emma with a very special moment on her family’s property along the Rogue River, and I was immediately excited to help capture it.

The best part?

She had no idea.

Adam actually flew in earlier than Emma was expecting so he could pull off the surprise. He put so much thought into every little detail, and it was obvious how much he wanted this moment to feel meaningful and personal.

And he absolutely nailed it.

He created a beautiful setup with flowers and even had custom stadium chairs made with personalized text, a perfect nod to their story because these two originally met a few years back at a professional hockey game.

I love when couples incorporate little pieces of their history into big moments like this. Those personal details are what make a proposal feel completely unique to the couple.

Adam led Emma down the grassy hill toward the river’s edge, where everything was waiting.

And then he got down on one knee.

Her reaction was the sweetest.

She was completely surprised, full of excitement, and couldn’t stop smiling. There were happy laughs, lots of kisses, and that amazing “wait… is this really happening?!” kind of joy. She said yes immediately, and the two of them were absolutely glowing.

And of course, their sweet pup got to be part of the celebration too! 🐾

I’m always so happy when couples include their dogs in these big life moments. They’re family, and having them included makes the memories (and the photos!) even more meaningful.

After the proposal, we wandered around the property for some sweet newly engaged portraits. The Rogue River, the trees, and the peaceful surroundings created such a beautiful backdrop for celebrating this new chapter.

And these two?

Their love is so sweet and passionate.

You can tell they genuinely adore each other. The way they laughed together, held each other, snuggled their pup, and kept sneaking little kisses made my job ridiculously easy.

A proposal is such a unique thing to photograph because it captures a relationship at such a specific moment, the second everything changes and a new story begins.
