I’ve decided that all my couples should consider getting married in the forest now. This wedding was SO gorgeous. The light, the trees, the couple. Everything was so amazing. There’s just something different about getting married up in the mountains where it’s quiet, getting to enjoy nature. Their ceremony was sweet and simple and included a tradition where they tied their headdresses together before their first kiss. Autumn is my favorite time of year for weddings and everything about this one was just perfection. The cake had Fall colors on the florals and was stunning! Allison’s long sleeved lace gown was so pretty and classic.

We got to take advantage of doing their formal portraits down in a little creek as well as get some with Mt. Shasta in the background on our way up to Castle Lake. What a stunning backdrop that mountain lake is! We got to escape the smoky skies and enjoy some fresh clean air. Escaping your reception for a few moments to get some intimate wedding portraits is always a special part of the day.
