Breanna is such a sweetheart!

She has the cutest little giggle, and every time she laughs, she wrinkles her nose. Those tiny expressions are exactly the kind of details I love capturing during senior portraits because they make the photographs feel like her.

We spent the afternoon walking around downtown Jacksonville, Oregon, taking advantage of the beautiful autumn scenery and all the charming little backdrops tucked throughout town.

Breanna was an absolute joy to photograph, and I have to admit…

I’m a little jealous of her amazing hair.

Seriously. Perfect hair. Totally unfair.

And Then There Was Max…

Because apparently Breanna wasn’t allowed to have the entire spotlight.

Enter Max.

This adorable pup completely stole the show with his cuteness.

I LOVE when seniors bring their dogs to their sessions. Dogs are such an important part of our families, and including them in senior portraits makes the photographs even more personal.

Max even showed off a few tricks for us, proving that he wasn’t just there to look cute.

Although…

He was VERY good at looking cute.

There’s something special about photographs that capture all the little pieces of someone’s life during their senior year—their personality, their favorite people, their hobbies, and yes, even the dog who has been by their side through so much of their childhood.

These are the things that make senior portraits more than just pretty pictures.

They tell the story of who you are right now.
