Marissa + Garrett are my kind of people.

I could tell almost immediately that these two were super laid back and that we were going to have a fun session together.

And we sure did!

These two are members at several wineries around Southern Oregon, so it only made sense to photograph their couples session at one of their favorite spots—StoneRiver Vineyards in Talent.

Winter Vineyard Photography in Southern Oregon

You might think vineyards aren’t much to look at during the winter when the vines are bare, but I actually LOVE the look.

The rows of vines create beautiful leading lines, the muted winter landscape feels romantic and peaceful, and there’s something really timeless about photographs taken among dormant vines.

You don’t need a lush green vineyard to get beautiful vineyard portraits.

Sometimes the bare vines are even better.

And then we had Marissa + Garrett to bring all the energy to the session.

A Couple Who Genuinely Enjoys Each Other

These two have such a cute connection.

They’re playful, affectionate, and clearly just really like each other.

They giggled, snuggled, wandered through the vineyard, and generally acted like two people who were having a really good time together.

Which is exactly what I want for couples photography.

I don’t want you to spend your entire session staring at the camera and trying to figure out how you’re supposed to pose.

I want you to interact.

Laugh.

Snuggle.

Flirt a little.

Be yourselves.

And I’ll take care of the rest.

Marissa also showed up with that vibrant curly red hair and a seriously cool leather jacket, which I absolutely loved. Her look added such a fun pop of personality against the softer winter landscape.

These two were so happy and giddy together that photographing them was basically effortless.

I adore couples who genuinely enjoy each other, and Marissa + Garrett were definitely those people.
