There is honestly no better compliment than having clients come back to me year after year. I seriously adore watching families grow and change through the years, and this family is such a perfect example of why I love what I do.

My relationship with this sweet family started with their engagement photos, then I photographed their wedding, and now I get to see them for family portraits. And now they have the cutest little boy! Getting to document all these different chapters has been pretty darn special.

Ericka is always so good about planning their outfits and getting their session on the calendar every year, and I absolutely love that photography is something that matters to their family. These are the kinds of traditions I hope they keep for many years to come.

They are also just genuinely wonderful people. They’re always so much fun to be around, and after all these years, it really does feel like I’m photographing friends rather than clients. That’s one of my favorite parts of this job.

And of course, Siskiyou County gave us the most gorgeous backdrop for their autumn family portraits. Tall trees, beautiful fall color, dreamy sunset light, and those incredible Mt. Shasta views—it doesn’t get much better than that! The warm tones of their outfits fit perfectly into the landscape and created such a beautiful, cozy fall palette.

Watching a couple go from engaged, to married, to parents—and getting to photograph it all along the way—is such a gift. I’m so grateful this family keeps inviting me back to capture these little pieces of their story.
