This adorable little family in Yreka was SO much fun to photograph! We cozied up in their beautiful new home during Christmastime and filled the afternoon with all the good stuff—snuggles, books, piano playing, cookie baking, cookie-dough licking, and plenty of delicious marshmallows. Honestly, that sounds like a pretty great day to me. 🎄🤎

Their two sweet little girls were completely in their element, and that’s exactly what I love about in-home family sessions. There’s no need to convince little ones to sit still and smile. Instead, they get to be kids. Playing, exploring, using their imaginations, making messes, and doing the things they naturally love to do while I capture it all.

And those heart-shaped cookies?! Come on. So cute.

In-home sessions are especially wonderful for families with young children because their own space gives them so much to explore and keeps them comfortable and entertained. The result is a gallery filled with genuine giggles, cozy snuggles, playful chaos, and all those little details that make this season of childhood so special.
