Oh my heart, this session was SO good! Rory is absolutely gorgeous, and her beautiful red hair against all those vibrant autumn leaves? Come on. The colors were doing some serious work for us!

We headed out to McKee Bridge in the Applegate Valley for her senior portraits, and it was such a perfect Southern Oregon backdrop. The fall colors were glowing, the scenery was beautiful, and there were so many little spots to explore for a variety of photos.

Rory was also totally up for an adventure, which I am always here for.

At one point, we decided to make our way into the river for some fun water-splashing shots. And let me just say… that water was SUPER chilly. Rory was a total champ and willingly got in anyway, and I was absolutely thrilled. Those ended up being some of my favorite images from the session because they feel playful and completely unique to her.

I love when senior sessions aren’t just about standing in a pretty spot and smiling at the camera. Give me a senior who is willing to explore, get a little messy, laugh, and try something unexpected, and I am one happy photographer.

And McKee Bridge is such a fun location for exactly that. You get the beautiful Applegate scenery, the historic bridge, trees, water, and plenty of variety without having to go far. Add in peak fall color and a gorgeous senior with fiery red hair, and we had a pretty fantastic recipe for some beautiful photos.

Rory, you absolutely crushed your senior session. I hope your senior year is every bit as fun, exciting, and memorable as this season deserves to be.
