I immediately adored Haley and Nick the moment I met them. We grabbed coffee, chatted about their wedding plans, and I quickly realized their laid-back, non-traditional vibe was RIGHT up my alley. These are my kind of people. Their wedding plans are sweet, intentional, and completely them—and I already knew I was going to have so much fun documenting it all.

So naturally, we had to start with an engagement session!

For their session, downtown Medford ended up being the perfect fit. Instead of choosing somewhere overly romantic or traditional, we wanted a location that felt a little more relaxed, a little more urban, and a whole lot more like Haley and Nick. Main Street delivered in the best way.

There are so many fun little pockets around downtown Medford for photos—the brick, old buildings, interesting textures, storefronts, alleyways, and all those unexpected backdrops that give a session a little personality. It felt less frilly engagement photos and more “let’s just hang out together and make some really freaking good photos.” And honestly? I loved that.

The evening light was dreamy, too. We wandered around downtown, laughed a lot, explored different spots, and let the session unfold naturally. Those are always some of my favorite sessions—the ones where we aren’t trying too hard to make a moment happen. We can simply slow down, enjoy each other, and let the real connection do the work.

And these two? They made it easy.

I am so incredibly happy that Haley and Nick found me, and even happier that I get to continue being a small part of their love story as they head toward their wedding day. Getting to know my couples throughout the process and watching their story unfold is one of my absolute favorite parts of what I do.

I have a feeling their wedding day is going to be just as relaxed, meaningful, and wonderfully them as this engagement session was—and I cannot wait!
