Couples + Engagement

Jessica + Tai, Crater Lake, Oregon Adventure Engagement Photography

I was doing a little happy dance when I saw the inquiry for this engagement session. Tai had proposed to Jessica at Crater Lake, so getting to photograph their official engagement session in the same place was extra special!

There are some places that just make you stop and take it all in, and Crater Lake is absolutely one of them. Nestled high in the Southern Oregon mountains, this incredible place has a way of making you feel very small while you’re standing in front of something so massive and mighty.

And that backdrop? Absolutely unreal.

The lake was calm and quiet during their session, creating this peaceful, almost surreal feeling. It was one of those evenings where everything seemed to slow down for a minute. I had a chance to explore a little before their session, and let me tell you — I cannot wait to go back.

Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States, reaching a depth of 1,943 feet. It’s also unique because it has no streams flowing into or out of it. The lake is primarily fed by rain and snow, which helps give it that incredible blue color.

If you’ve never been to Crater Lake, consider this your sign to add it to your Oregon travel list. And if you’re dreaming about an engagement session at Crater Lake, well… I think you already know how I feel about that idea. 😉

Jessica and Tai were so much fun to photograph. They’re the kind of down-to-earth, genuinely rad humans that make my job pretty dang fun. We laughed, explored, soaked in the scenery, and captured some pretty epic photos along the way.

I’m so happy they chose me to document this chapter for them, especially in a place that already holds such an important memory in their story.

Congratulations, Jessica and Tai! I have a feeling there are going to be a whole lot of adventures, travels, and fiercely loving each other in your future. And I hope I get to photograph a few more of those adventures along the way.
