Natalie and Gage traveled all the way from Utah to the Oregon Coast for their intimate elopement along the Samuel H. Boardman corridor in Brookings, and honestly, I completely understand why.
The Oregon coastline is some of the most breathtaking scenery I’ve ever witnessed. Between the dramatic cliffs, towering sea stacks, rocky beaches, and constantly changing weather, there is something incredibly special about getting married along this stretch of the coast.
Natalie and Gage’s Samuel H. Boardman elopement was intimate, beautiful, and filled with so much love.
An Intimate Oregon Coast Elopement
Their celebration included just a few close family members and friends, creating such a sweet and meaningful atmosphere.
There was SO much love surrounding these two.
That’s one of the things I love most about intimate weddings and elopements. The day can feel quieter and more connected, with the focus staying on the couple and the people closest to them.
Natalie and Gage created exactly that kind of celebration.
They traveled from out of state, gathered their favorite people, and chose one of the most beautiful places imaginable to begin their marriage.
Getting Married at Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor
The ceremony took place in a beautiful tucked-away location along the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor near Brookings, Oregon.
This stretch of the Southern Oregon Coast is absolutely incredible.
Around every corner, there are dramatic views, rugged cliffs, forests, and breathtaking ocean scenery. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop and stare for a minute because it almost doesn’t look real.
For Natalie and Gage, it created an unforgettable backdrop for their intimate ceremony.
Foggy Oregon Coast Newlywed Photos
After their ceremony, we headed out for their newlywed portraits along the coastline.
And the fog.
Ohhhh, the fog.
Their wedding portraits had that soft, moody Oregon Coast atmosphere that feels completely magical.
Fog can transform the coastline in such a dramatic way. The landscape feels quieter, softer, and almost mysterious.
The moody conditions were perfect for Natalie and Gage’s newlywed photos and gave their gallery a completely different feel from a bright, sunny beach session.
Their Engagement Session Came After the Wedding
Because Natalie and Gage traveled from Utah for their Oregon Coast celebration, we did things a little backwards.
The morning after their wedding, we photographed their engagement session on the beach.
And the difference in the weather from one day to the next was amazing.
Their wedding day brought us that gorgeous foggy coastline.
The next morning gave us a completely different version of the Oregon Coast.
That’s one of the things I love about photographing here—you never quite know what nature is going to give you.
The same location can look completely different from one day to the next.
An Oregon Coast Adventure Worth Traveling For
Natalie and Gage came all the way from Utah to get married on the Oregon Coast, and their Samuel H. Boardman elopement was such a beautiful reminder of why couples travel here from all over.
The scenery is wild.
The coastline is dramatic.
And an intimate celebration surrounded by the people you love can be incredibly meaningful.
From their tucked-away ceremony location to their foggy newlywed portraits and their beach engagement session the following morning, every part of their experience felt like an adventure.
