Some locations are beautiful. And then there are locations that mean something.

This spot was incredibly special to Tara + Luke because it was the very place where Luke asked Tara to marry him. So naturally, coming back here for their engagement session was pretty much perfect.

And WOW, was it stunning.

Tucked into the woods with gorgeous mountain and valley views, this Southern Oregon location gave us the most beautiful backdrop for their engagement photos. The trees, open views, and natural landscape made the whole session feel like a little escape into the mountains.

We were also racing the weather a bit. A storm was rolling in, and the wind was CRAZY. But somehow, that made the photos even more magical.

We captured these just in time.

The movement in Tara’s hair, the dramatic sky, and the way the landscape opened up behind them all added so much atmosphere to their images. Sometimes a little unpredictable weather is exactly what a session needs.

And these two?

I am obsessed.

The connection between Tara + Luke was so easy to see. The way they looked at each other, held each other, and simply settled into being together was incredibly captivating.

These are the sessions that remind me why I love what I do so much.

I get to step into these little chapters of people’s lives and document the kind of moments they’ll hopefully look back on for decades. An engagement isn’t just about pretty photos — it’s about capturing the excitement of knowing you’re about to build a life together.

And getting to photograph them in the very place where their engagement story began made this one even more meaningful.
