When Mark and Aubrie reached out wanting to celebrate their wedding anniversary with a fun photo session, I was immediately excited. And then they said they were willing to brave a snow session on Mt. Ashland…

YES PLEASE. ❄️

I am SO happy they were game because I am absolutely obsessed with how these images turned out.

There is something so magical about fresh snow, and Mt. Ashland delivered. The snow-covered trees, soft winter landscape, and the fact that it was actively snowing during their session made everything feel like a scene from a cozy winter storybook.

And these two?

They were the perfect couple for it.

Mark and Aubrie are adorable, playful, romantic, and so much fun together. They embraced the cold, laughed through the chilly moments, and were completely willing to just play and enjoy the experience.

Those are always the best sessions.

They showed up in cozy sweaters and plaid shirts, looking perfectly suited for a snowy mountain adventure. The simple winter outfits fit the setting beautifully and gave the photos that timeless, cozy feeling.

And can we talk about the snowflakes in their hair?!

The fluffy little snow-covered details were everything. ❄️

Some of my favorite images were the completely unplanned moments—the snow falling around them, their laughter, the way they looked at each other, and the fact that they were just having fun together.

They even got a little silly and made snow angels.

Because why not?!

There were piggyback rides, lots of snuggles, big laughs, and plenty of playful moments. They didn’t worry about getting a little cold or messy, they leaned into the adventure, and that’s exactly what made the photos so special.

I love that they chose to celebrate their anniversary this way. Your love story doesn’t stop after the wedding day. Every year, every season, and every chapter is worth documenting.

Sometimes that means dressing up for a fancy anniversary dinner.

Sometimes it means climbing a snowy mountain, laughing until your cheeks hurt, and making snow angels together.

And honestly?

I’m a big fan of the second option. 😉
