Heidi and Matt are just the kind of people you instantly adore. They are so kind, genuine, and joyful, and I’ve loved getting to know them over the years. So when I got to photograph their intimate wedding celebration, I was pretty thrilled to be there.

These two chose a place that made their day even more meaningful: their grandparents’ backyard in Medford. And let me tell you… this garden! 😍

It was lush, colorful, overgrown in all the best ways, and absolutely bursting with gorgeous flowers and plants. I was basically in photographer heaven. There were beautiful little pockets everywhere you looked, and it made the most incredible backdrop for their celebration. Who needs a fancy wedding venue when you have a garden like this in your family?!

And Heidi? Absolutely stunning. Her dress was so classy and elegant, and she looked incredible in it. Paired with the natural beauty of the garden and the intimacy of the day, everything felt effortless and timeless.

Their wedding was small and sweet, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. And honestly, I truly love these kinds of celebrations. There’s something really special about tiny weddings and intimate gatherings. They feel personal, relaxed, and full of the moments that matter most. No fuss. No need to impress anyone. Just two people celebrating their love with the people they love most.

But my favorite part of this whole story is that this wasn’t the first time I got to photograph Heidi and Matt.

I originally met these two during their fun engagement session years ago, and I adored them from the start. Getting to photograph them then and now seeing where life has taken them is one of those things that makes this job so incredibly rewarding.

I love getting to watch people grow through the years. I get to meet couples when they’re newly in love, photograph their weddings, and sometimes eventually get to document them as they grow their families and move into completely new chapters of life. There is something SO cool about being invited back into people’s stories again and again.

And honestly? I get a real kick out of it. 🥹

Heidi and Matt, thank you for letting me continue to be a little part of your story. Your wedding day was every bit as lovely and joyful as the two of you are, and I’m so happy I got to be there to capture it.
